President Jair Bolsonaro announced the plan to maintain the Family scholarship in 2021. According to the president, the current program will continue, however, with some changes in values.
Bolsonaro said that the current payment, based on a value of R $ 89, will be adjusted to R $ 200. However, the president did not say if this will be the maximum value of the program.
Expansion of Bolsa Família
In addition to the increase in value, President Bolsonaro announced another project for Bolsa Família. The new plan is to increase the number of beneficiary families. According to the president, his wish is that part of the insured for emergency aid begin to participate in the payroll of the new Bolsa Família.
In his latest statements, the president reported that the Ministry of Citizenship should include 300,000 new registrations in the social income program.
However, it is worth noting that the president’s proposals can only be implemented if the government cuts its spending. With the new planning, Bolsa Família will have an 18% increase in the public budget.

- Annual prize of R $ 200 for the students with the best performances;
- Monthly scholarship of R $ 100, in addition to an annual award of R $ 1,000, for outstanding students in science and technology;
- Monthly scholarship of R $ 100, in addition to an annual award of R $ 1,000, for students who obtain the best performances in sports activities;
- R $ 200 nursery subsidy for mothers registered in Bolsa Família.
