The New Honda HR-V 2022 finally appeared in Japan, where it is called Vezel. The model is now presented as a coupe-style crossover and comes with hybrid propulsion and: HEV, as we had already imagined.
With no measurements yet revealed, the New HR-V is expected to grow like the New City and we estimate something around 4.45m to keep it in the range of the Toyota Corolla Cross, now its biggest international rival.
Visually, the New Honda HR-V 2022 confirms patents and projections, but surprises by the grille in the color of the car, but in the e: HEV version, since the model has the well-defined grille in Stock, Urban Style or Packages casual style.

We think Honda will add some of this to the national product, as the New HR-V looks more premium in this case. With full LED headlights (they can be darkened), it has a high front and a very high waist.
At the rear, add LED flashlights connected by a beam of light above the brand’s logo. The large rear doors keep the handles recessed as on the current model. Redesigned alloy wheels attract attention.
Inside, the environment became more sophisticated, with a continuous air diffuser, a 9-inch-tall multimedia screen, and an analog rather than digital cluster. The HR-V 2022 now has 4G LTE internet with Wi-Fi on board.
The dual zone air conditioning has new controls and the console is now lower, no longer raising the current one. The electric steering has a new, sportier steering wheel. With everything redone, the interior of the New Honda HR-V 2022 seems to have grown in the rear, where there are two air vents and Magic Seat (Ultra Seat).
With adaptive cruise control, blind spot alert and lane correction with steering correction, sound system with nine speakers, automatic parking, license plate recognition, pedestrian detection and autonomous braking, among others, the New Honda HR-V 2022 will arrive at the international market with a good security and comfort package.
In mechanics, the Vezel e: HEV has an L15 engine with Atkinson cycle and CVT transmission with AWD traction. No figures were given, but Honda is known to use a 109-horsepower electric motor and a 99-horsepower gasoline engine, delivering 151 combined horsepower.
Here we can also expect that, but flex, as well as the Civic’s 173-horsepower 1.5 Turbo engine which, if left, will at least leave the engine, already used in the national HR-V Touring. In the gallery below, you can check out what Honda Access accessory packages look like in Japan.
