The 26-year-old model from Alagoas, Eloisa Pinto Pontes, was found by members of the Ipanema Present operation last Tuesday (6) in Morro do Cantagalo, Rio de Janeiro. The young woman had been approached by relatives for about a year and when they located her she appeared to be disoriented. The information is from the newspaper O Globo.
This is not the first time the woman’s disappearance has been reported. In June 2019 the First episode, this time in New York, where he lived for professional reasons. At that point, they found her five days later, wandering down the street in a nearby town, visibly disoriented.
The model’s family has not yet provided details about how or when she returned to Brazil at that time, nor about the circumstances of this second disappearance.
According to the police, Eloisa was taken to the Ipanema Presente base where she received social support. From there, she was referred to the Philippe Pinel Municipal Institute, where she underwent a psychiatric evaluation and was hospitalized for mental health care. The mother and a couple of friends from Alagoas have already been located by the social service.
Who is eloisa
Born in a small town in the interior of Alagoas, the model left eight siblings in Brazil to try, from a very young age, to pursue a modeling career abroad. She was married and has a daughter, Azzurra, to 41-year-old Russian model and executive producer Andre Birleanu. The two met in 2012, in São Paulo, and married in 2014. He, who became known for his participation in the American program “America’s Smartest Model,” has custody of the child.
Eloisa has already done covers for renowned magazines like “Elle”, “Grazia” and “Glamor”, as well as campaigns for brands like Dolce & Gabbana. “She is a responsible model who, unfortunately, may be going through personal problems. I really hope we can find her,” an agent of the young woman said last year, in the middle of her first disappearance in New York.
