Starlink It is the name of the initiative that, initially, will put 12 thousand equal satellites into orbit. Its objective is to form a network that allows high-speed Internet to reach the most remote locations on our planet. The scientific community fears that there will be damage to the world as a whole from the observation of space. Today there are approximately 4 thousand satellites that surround our planet. The problem is that some experts say that the 12,000 that Elon Musk plans to launch will not be enough, and that the number could reach 40,000.
“The network will consist of 12,000 low-orbit satellites (around 550 km altitude), each with a mass of approximately 230 kg. Each launch puts 60 satellites into orbit, forming a visible Indian tail for a few days after launch. As each satellite migrates to its specific position, the tail breaks, “he explained.
