Calculations to request Retirement are already considering the new requirements transitory measures presented by the National Institute of Social Security (INSS). Beneficiaries who did not apply before the publication of the pension reform, which took place in November 2019, will face stricter rules in 2020.
Effective until the end of this year, the new INSS rules require six more months contribution to applicants in all transitions, which are three in total.
See the calculations for those who complete the requirements in 2020:
Retirement with progressive minimum age
For the progressive age rule, it will require 61 years and six months for men and 56 years and six months for women. Regarding the contribution time, the minimum is 35 years for men and 30 years for women. As summarized below:
Woman: Minimum age of 56.5 years, with a contribution period of 30 years;
Mens: Minimum age of 61.5 years, with a contribution period of 35 years.
Retirement by points
In the point rule, the sum of the applicant’s age and contribution time is considered. This year, the demand for this transition also became more rigid, working as follows:
- Woman: 87 points, adding age + years of contribution;
- Mens: 97 points, adding age + years of contribution.
Retirement by age
The reform did not modify the criteria for accessing retirement by this rule for men. For them, the requirement is still 65 years and 15 years of contributions.
For women, however, the new rules require 65 years and 15 years of contributions to claim the benefit. In the previous retirement, the required age was 60 years. So it looks like this:
- Woman: 60.5 years, with a contribution period of 15 years;
- Mens: 65 years, with 15 years of contribution.
