Curitiba and southern Brazil also set new historical records. In Curitiba, but the highest temperature ever recorded is 35.5 ° C, on 10/2/2020, surpassing the 35.2 ° C mark of 11/17/1985.
THE Historical record of heat now in the South Region is the temperature of 42.9 ° C in Morretes, on the Paraná coast, on 10/2/2020. The previous record, according to INMET, was 41.6 ° C in Guaíra, in western Paraná, on 11/17/1985.
