The military tone, fundraising without a specific objective, apart from training people to give “blood, sweat and sleep” to Brazil, caught the attention of the Attorney General’s Office.
The Federal Prosecutor’s Office has already requested an investigation into “field 300,” according to an institution source familiar with the case heard by Reuters.
The group’s creator, activist Sara Geromini, known as Sara Winter, guarantees that the “300 do Brasil” does not use weapons.
In fact, in one of his messages, he explains that training is a war without weapons because in a “dictatorship” the first thing to do is take the weapons out of the population.
“They are intelligence tactics, geopolitical investigation. We received instruction in nonviolent warfare, civil disobedience from Olavo de Carvalho’s literature, “Sara said in an interview with Reuters.” He has given us moral strength, but he is not our mentor or guru, “he said.
Surrounded by mysteries, the group’s idea emerged on a live social network made by Sara and two other well-known Bolsonar bloggers, from a “camp” in defense of President Jair Bolsonaro.
As a former member of the feminist collective Femem in Brazil, Sara took a 180-degree turn in her political beliefs and, since 2015, began acting in far-right groups.
Until October of last year, Sara worked in the Family Ministry as coordinator of Comprehensive Care for Pregnant Women and Maternity, when she was discharged. Today, he returned to dedicate himself to conferences, books and his social networks.
Sara told Reuters the name comes from the idea of ”Gideon’s 300″, a biblical story in which, directly encouraged by Jehovah, the Jewish people won a battle with only 300 men.

Its main targets are the “communists”, who, in the group’s opinion, are infiltrated everywhere, among the ministers of the Federal Supreme Court, in Congress, in the PGR.

In late April, Sara started a call on her social networks. The camp was scheduled for May 2 and, on the Telegram channel, it was possible to watch videos of people arriving in Brasilia, on buses and even on a plane.
At that time, a kitten was created online. The intention would be to guarantee the payment of the coaches, the camp and a meal a day for the co-opted.
The troop of 300 does not reveal the location of the base camp, according to Sara, to prevent unwanted people, who want to provoke, or do not have their verified backgrounds, from trying to infiltrate the group.
But some videos showing training and slogans were posted on the networks. The group created a battle cry: “300 from Brazil, ruin, ruin, ruin.”
The word, Sara explains, has no meaning other than showing strength and “scaring the enemy.”
“We have a somewhat militarized footprint, we have many former soldiers. They suggested it. It was something it took to show strength, even to scare the enemy, “he explained.
The 300 debuted at the demonstration last Sunday, in front of the Planalto Palace, which shouted against the Supreme Federal Court and the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Rodrigo Maia.
The previous day, he tried to establish a camp in the Esplanada dos Ministérios, despite the tents, the movement would have been “spontaneous”, but the military police of the Federal District prevented it.
In a video, the militants appear screaming that they would only leave when “Maia falls” or when the 11 STF ministers “understand that they are not demigods.”
In the following days, the group tried to establish another camp, this time in front of the STF, without success. After speaking with the commander of the Federal District Police, Sara went to the networks to shout against the police.
“To summarize the meeting with the PMDF and other DF security agencies: it cannot be a tent, it cannot be a banner, it cannot occupy Congress (even if it is ours).

Since then, the group has tried to perform in front of the Alvorada Palace, in a demonstration to the president of its training, but failed.
The other scheduled actions were not taken either, but the intention is to reappear in another demonstration scheduled for this Saturday, in Brasilia.

Political scientist Creomar de Souza says the emergence of a group like the 300 can be attributed to an attempt to create a fierce militancy at a time when the president’s base of spontaneous support is shrinking.
“This movement seems to me young, very organized, organic, not spontaneous. The prospect of being here spontaneously for an organization changed, ”he told Reuters. “This militancy process is the last barrier, it is who supports the government.”
Each militancy, recalls the professor at the University of Brasilia, has the function of shock troops, to confront the disaffected.
“What we must understand is if this militancy will remain in the war cries or if it evolves towards more aggressive behavior,” he evaluated. “It is too early to know what impact it will have on the political game.”
The group’s intention is to go beyond the Brasilia camp, says Sara. There are no resources for now, he says, to take “training” to other states, but whoever passes through Brasilia has the function of establishing their demonstration centers in the cities.
