The joy of many Brazilians with the rain, which ended the 119 days of drought, was accompanied by the apprehension of the neighbors of Vicente Pires. The city, which has many works in progress, experienced flooding and flooding in some regions.

“I feel that the government only signs a contract with these companies and does not inspect the works. The rainy season is back, and more suffering for families and businesses, ”says the neighbor.

It was a big problem of flooding, ”says Reinaldo.

According to Companhia Urbanizadora da Nova Capital (Novacap), the drainage works are due to be completed in December. In addition, the company assures that it has already cleaned more than 70 thousand wolfholes throughout the Federal District this year to increase the flow of rainwater to the network and reduce flooding.
