Eduardo Vargas arrives at Atlético this Saturday after saying goodbye to the Tigres de México. He will undergo examinations, sign a two-year contract and prepare to make his debut at Galo and become the first Chilean player to play in the club’s 112 years. The first game may happen earlier than expected.

Vargas will not be able to face Flamengo, Galo’s commitment next Sunday. But, depending on the physical condition that is presented, it will be available for the duel with Corinthians, on November 14 (Saturday of next week), for the 21st day. The possibility only exists because the forward was left out of the squad list of the Chilean team.
There will be qualifying matches next week (November 12 and 13, and November 17), in which the Gallo will be lost against Timão, in São Paulo. But Vargas, unlike Junior Alonso and Jefferson Savarino, was out of the call. The definition of the Ecuador list is missing, and Alan Franco has a good chance of being called.

The duel with Corinthians will be Atlético’s last in the season in which the calls will produce absences. Eduardo Vargas was part of the call for the Chilean team in the first two days of the tie for the continent, but it became the absence of coach Reinaldo Rueda, in the list published this Friday.
Vargas had been acting normally in Tigres, although in reserve, and will arrive with physical conditions to act in the Gallo attack. He comes to fill the sixth vacancy of a foreigner in Galo, which still has the Argentine Zaracho and the Colombian Dylan Borrero. However, the second is rarely used in the club. Under the CBF rule, each team can include a maximum of five gringos per game, but nothing prevents teams from having as many foreign players as they want on the main team.
