According to information from Estadão, the anticipation would be a contingency plan, in case the index of social isolation increases with the advance of the coronavirus pandemic.

Economy Minister Paulo Guedes said last week that the government does not rule out anticipating benefits and deferring taxes in 2021.

The thirteenth salary in 2021 will be advanced through the INSS
In 2021 the 13th Christmas salary bonus will be brought forward, according to the National Institute of Social Security (INSS). The measure was regulated through the Decree No. 10,410, published in the Official Gazette (DOU) of 2020.
Now, according to the text, the thirteenth salary will be paid in two installments in advance in the coming years. In addition to anticipating the additional allowance, other changes will occur related to Social Security benefits. See everything!

Now, starting in 2021 and in the coming years, the payment of the 1st installment of the 13th INSS salary will occur only in August, corresponding to 50% of the benefit. The 2nd installment of the benefit will be paid in November with the rest of the balance.
The 13th salary will be received together with the payment of the corresponding month’s benefit. Advance payments will be made to beneficiaries who are entitled to:
- Retirement
- Sickness benefit
- Assistance in accidents
- Maternity pay
- Pension for death
- Assistance in prison.
New changes
Decree 10.410, which established the anticipation of the thirteenth salary, has other changes. The regulation adds the insured in the category of individual taxpayer, now it is included for:
- Application controllers
- Craftsmen
- Representatives
- Employees with an intermittent employment contract.
Furthermore, another change refers to the extension of social security rights to domestic workers who may receive accident benefits. The last change is the family allowance, in which the instituted amount will be unified, with the fee going to R $ 48.62.
