Congresswoman Carla Zambelli (PSL-SP) did not have a covid-19, but a case of deep endometriosis, according to a report published by DF Star hospital, tonight. The parliamentarian and ally of President Jair Bolsonaro (without a party) had announced on social networks that she had the new coronavirus and would use hydroxychloroquine.
Federal Deputy Carla Zambelli went to DFStar this Friday for a routine consultation. After an extensive clinical investigation, the medical team accompanying the deputy concluded that she did not have a covid-19 infection, and ruled out the diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus or another autoimmune disease. A diagnosis of deep endometriosis was made and treatment was started. The patient is well, in outpatient follow-up, “the hospital said in the bulletin.
The document is signed by the cardiologist Ludhmila Abrahão Hajjar and by the general director of DFStar, dr. Pedro Henrique Loretti.
Zambelli said he had the new coronavirus on Aug. 19 and, through his advice, said he had been transferred to another hospital to be treated with hydroxychloroquine, a drug whose efficacy has not been proven.
The MP even shared a post on Instagram confirming the disease. At the time, he said he was already in social isolation and had no symptoms. He would virtually honor his commitments. The federal deputy was discharged on Wednesday afternoon.
Until the publication of this text, Carla Zambelli did not comment on the DFStar hospital newsletter.
