“The value (of the individual benefit) will be less. It will be between R $ 200 and R $ 300 in this first moment. For that, we had to find a new budget solution. But we are not going to pierce the ceiling. In that discussion, an additional roof solution was considered. However, it was not ideal and the economic team found a solution, ”said Bittar.
Even so, the senator informed that the amount will increase each period, according to the increase in space in the Budget.
The Citizen Income was postponed to November
Announced in September, the Citizen income, program chosen to replace the Family scholarship, was postponed to November. The decision was made due to the difficulty of the Federal Government to find a source of funds to extract the new benefit from the paper.
Now, the final decision must only be made after the municipal elections, scheduled for November. The income program will aim to serve low-income citizens who have suffered economic impacts caused by the new coronavirus pandemic.
