Love at first sight and refugee theme

Written by Duca Rachid and Thelma Guedes, the six o’clock telenovela had the theme of refugees in São Paulo as its central theme.

OR G1 followed the recording of the reunion of the couple Laila (Julia Dalavia) and Jamil (Renato Goés) in São Paulo at the beginning of April. The protagonists spoke about the importance of bringing the matter to people’s homes.

“We have a service and a necessary favor to do, so that people understand that we are not receiving fugitives, we are receiving victims,” explains Góes.

Dalavia is also adamant when asked about the novel’s receptivity due to the theme. “Imagine if it were us? If it had happened in our country and we had to leave home?”
