The tomb where the adolescent Carlos Acutis is buried, who will be beatified by the Vatican, was opened to the public on Thursday (1/10) at a shrine in the Umbria region of Italy, 14 years after his death. The young man who died at age 15 of leukemia in 2006, known as the “patron of the Internet”, will be beatified on October 10.
The good condition of the body is impressive. According to the Vatican, the remains of the young man have been “recomposed” and the body is not 100% intact. In the released images, Carlos Acutis wears jeans and tennis shoes. His body will be on display until October 17.
Carlos Acutis was born in London and grew up in Milan, Italy. He became known as the “patron of the Internet” for using the world wide web to evangelize. In addition to the high knowledge he had in computer science.
