The body of the wife of the military police officer who was shot and killed by her husband was buried Friday afternoon. The burial was in the Parque da Paz cemetery, in the Passaré neighborhood, in Fortaleza. Ana Rita Tabosa Soares was shot in a car on Thursday night (8), during an argument with her husband, on Silas Munguba Avenue, in the Serrinha neighborhood.
After shooting the woman and realizing that she was dead, the military police officer started crying and screaming, saying he was sorry. The suspect even called an ambulance to help the victim, but when the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) arrived, the woman was already dead. The victim had a funeral procession remove the coffin in the cemetery.
According to the Ceará Military Police (PMCE), the agent is a corporal of the corporation, attached to the XIX Military Police Battalion (BPM).
After the crime, according to the PM, the policeman was arrested on the spot and transferred to the Fortaleza Women’s Police Station (DDM), where he was accused of femicide.
