Bandits blew up an agency of the Caixa Econômica Federal, in Lot 15, in Belford Roxo (RJ), in Baixada Fluminense. The Bomb Squad was deployed to detonate a bomb left by criminals.

Images from TV Globo’s Globocop showed Bomb Squad agents working at the scene wearing special clothing for the controlled explosion, which ended shortly before 9 am.

According to information from the Military Police, the police encountered criminals during a patrol and there was a confrontation. In the escape, the criminals set fire to a truck to improvise barricades and scatter sharp objects on the roads to hinder the movement of vehicles. One man was arrested overnight and the rest managed to escape.

The suspect was referred to the Superintendency of the Federal Police (Federal Police) in Rio, and a technical expert was called.

The driver of the burning truck, Artur Xavier, 50, told the Twitter that the bandits approached him and his wife saying they would kill them.
