Bandits blew up an agency of the Caixa Econômica Federal, in Lot 15, in Belford Roxo (RJ), in Baixada Fluminense. The Bomb Squad was deployed to detonate a bomb left by criminals.
The bank was isolated and the street was prohibited for the action of Núcleo agents (Coordination of Special Resources). Sandbags were placed at the site to detonate the device. Images from TV Globo’s Globocop showed Bomb Squad agents working at the scene wearing special clothing for the controlled explosion, which ended shortly before 9 am.
According to information from the Military Police, the police encountered criminals during a patrol and there was a confrontation. In the escape, the criminals set fire to a truck to improvise barricades and scatter sharp objects on the roads to hinder the movement of vehicles. One man was arrested overnight and the rest managed to escape.
The suspect was referred to the Superintendency of the Federal Police (Federal Police) in Rio, and a technical expert was called.

The driver of the burning truck, Artur Xavier, 50, told the Twitter that the bandits approached him and his wife saying they would kill them.

Xavier left the house at 3:30 a.m. to take his wife, RecentlyOperated in INSIDE (National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics), which is located in the center of the capital. He said the woman has a femur prosthesis and takes eight medications a day. She is very shocked.
“Cowardice is immense. They do not care about anyone’s life (…) I am a family man who took my wife to take care of him and then earned his daily bread. I do not cry because I lost my property, I cry for cowardice (…) They arrive with blood in their eyes, without a soul, they come to kill, ”said the man, who lost the vehicle he used to work with.
“They lit gasoline, they set fire to it and when it exploded I felt that heat on my back, I fell with my wife to the ground and they were pointing a rifle. I hardly took out my wife [do carro]. “
According to the driver, he left the scene with the woman on her back and received help from a local neighbor. Near the bank, there is a PM booth that is empty at night.
“Who pays my bills? Who pays my loss?” Xavier asked.
