The Bahamas Club nightclub, in Moema, south of São Paulo, was closed on Wednesday night (17) by the working group formed to monitor compliance with the restrictions envisaged in the emergency phase adopted in the state to combat the pandemic. of coronavirus.

At this stage, only essential services are allowed to function. In addition, the emergency phase determines a curfew from 8 pm to 5 am.

Federal deputy Alexandre Frota (PSDB), who accompanied the inspection, released a video on social networks showing the operation. According to him, the task force received information that a clandestine party was taking place in the Bahamas.

Civil and military police, employees of Procon, the Sanitary Surveillance and the City Council participated in the inspection.

That same night, the inspectors closed a party held at a tobacco shop in Freguesia do Ó, in the north of the capital. At the site, more than 40 youths crowded together and some shared hookahs.

In the early hours of Sunday (14), Flamengo striker Gabigol and funker MC Gui were arrested in a luxury casino in the Vila Olímpia neighborhood, on the west side of the city of São Paulo.

In addition to the fact that the practice of gambling is prohibited in Brazil, it was found that regular customers did not respect health regulations on the eve of the emergency plan.
