During the execution of the PF (Federal Police) search and arrest warrants, federal deputy Loester Trutis (PSL) was transferred to the DPF headquarters after an alleged flagrant illegal possession of a weapon on Thursday (12), according to the report.

Called ‘Tracker’, the operation investigates the alleged attack on the parliamentarian and his assistant, which occurred on February 16 of this year. That day, the deputy’s vehicle was hit by several shots on the BR-060, between Campo Grande and Sidrolândia.

The information is that the arrest took place this morning because of the weapons; at first, there is no order in operation for this purpose.

Previously, the PF stated that 10 search and seizure orders issued by the STF (Supreme Federal Court) are being carried out, of which nine are in Mato Grosso do Sul and one is in Brasilia. In total, 50 federal police officers are involved in the action.

The name of the operation (tracker), which in free translation would be ‘tracker’, refers to the investigative work carried out by the Federal Police in search of evidence to elucidate the facts and identify the perpetrators. The investigation is kept secret.

Case

The attack took place around 5:30 a.m. on February 16, a Sunday, when a vehicle allegedly paired up next to the officer’s car and fired five shots. None was injured. The deputy participated with his team in conversations with residents of the cities of Mato Grosso do Sul. On the night of the 15th, Trutis was in Nova Alvorada do Sul and planned to work in Sidrolândia on the day of the alleged attack.

At the time, the MS Civil Police said it would not officially comment on the alleged attack, said the Deputy General Delegate of the Civil Police, Adriano Geraldo García. According to García, the episode has “many questions.”

Trutis used his social media at the time, saying he was the target of a ‘consortium’ of enemies. The deputy became the target of memes on social media after the case emerged. In office, he accused members of the state’s political class of being involved with bandits. “Ordinary, funny people ‘forget’ that organized crime has always played a role in politics in MS. Cigars, drug traffickers and heads of death squads became councilors, deputies and almost even governor, ”Trutis said, without mentioning names.
