A French surfer survived a shark attack in Bells Beach, in the Melbourne region of Australia, and suffered only minor injuries to one leg, local press reports.
Dylan Nacass, 23, was surfing on Friday (8) when he was attacked by the shark, 9News said.

“I hit him and he stood up. I did it twice and he left, ”explained the young man to the Australian announcer.
A local resident, Matt Sedunary, explained that he ran into the water to help the surfer when he saw he was in trouble.
“He started screaming, I honestly thought he was playing with his friends,” he said. “But I couldn’t leave him alone, anyone would have done the same,” he added.
The video’s author, Graham Blade, said he quickly realized it was a shark.
Dylan Nacass suffered only a few scratches and received stitches.
Australia is one of the countries with the most shark attacks, 27 in the last year, according to the Taronga Zoo (Sydney). In the course of 2020, two deaths have already been recorded.
