The beneficiaries of Bolsa Família who had emergency assistance of R $ 300 (R $ 600 for single mothers) canceled, blocked or denied were given a period to claim the benefit, the Ministry of Citizenship said today (14). From Sunday (20) to December 29, the benefit review must be requested on the website of Dataprev, a state-owned company that processes emergency aid requirements.
The process will be totally virtual, eliminating the need to go to a Caixa Econômica Federal branch or to a service position in the Single Registry of Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico).
According to the Ministry of Citizenship, the portfolio promotes monthly combs among the beneficiaries of emergency aid to verify that they meet all the requirements defined by the law that created the benefit. Anyone who does not meet one of the criteria is excluded from the list of beneficiaries, even if they have received a portion.
According to the portfolio, verification is necessary to ensure that the emergency aid target audience is served and to prevent people who do not need the benefit from receiving help. Among the main verified situations are death, discovery of irregularities or obtaining a formal job during the granting of the aid.
Disputes
Last Wednesday (9), the challenge periods were reopened for informal workers and those registered in CadÚnico who had the emergency extension assistance blocked, canceled or dismissed. The deadline ends on Friday (18).
The Ministry of Citizenship also reopened the term for those whose aid was canceled due to indications of irregularity verified by the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) or the General Comptroller of the Federation (CGU). Applications can be made until the 20th.
The portfolio also opened a term to challenge those who had rejected the extension of emergency aid for not meeting the criteria of the new concession. Applications can be made from Thursday (17) to 26. By extending the emergency aid for three months to half the amount of the benefit, the government has tightened some criteria, such as the use of fiscal data from 2019, in instead of 2018.
