Electrical storms hit central Argentina today (25) with hail, like that of Rosario (photo), and locally intense rains. MetSul remains alert (read more here) that the worst instability in Rio Grande do Sul will occur on Sunday, when a cold front moves through the state. The system will enter the Uruguaiana region at dawn and then will bring rains to the entire state with the risk of isolated strong to severe storms with potential for hail and localized gales as the system will advance in a very hot atmosphere and with low atmospheric pressure under a strong jet stream at low levels. The storms can reach Santa Catarina and Paraná on Sunday with the highest risk of severe weather in the west of the two states.
