The 20 clubs in the Srie B of the Brazilian Championship, after sending a letter from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), decided to press the Rede Globo looking for television quotas during the closing of soccer due to the new coronavirus pandemic.

“The presidents of the clubs met with the National Council of Clubs, which represents Srie A and Srie B, in addition to the clubs that are still in the Copa do Brasil. A letter was sent to Rede Globo confirming the commitment of the 38 dates and in return have the maintenance of the payments, “said Edno Melo, president of Nutico, Rdio Jornal, of Recife.

“If it was already vital for the clubs, today the fundamental fee is essential for the survival and maintenance of the club’s payments,” he added.

Srie B clubs are entitled to ten fees of R $ 600 thousand. Two have already been paid and the next will be in May. Even with everything updated, the presidents decided to put pressure on the station.

“I hope it will be paid, because with this money we keep the club’s accounts up to date. We are afraid because it can complicate the life of all the clubs,” Melo explained.

Srie B was due to start on May 1. However, the access division still has no date to start in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
