The murderer of actor Rafael Miguel and his parents, Paulo Cupertino, had his whereabouts discovered by Record TV the last week. A fugitive for more than a year, he was until Tuesday (27) in the city of Eldorado, in Mato Grosso do Sul. Paulo.
Two reports have moved searches in recent days. One true, one false. On Monday (26), Record TV revealed that it achieved take a RG official using false data in the interior of Paraná. Two days later, the news of the arrest of the murderer of actor Rafael Miguel and his parents was a false alarm.
In an interview with the reporter André Azeredo, from Record TV, a brother of the fugitive says that he does not know his whereabouts and reveals that he would have doubts when revealing the place where he was if he knew: “I’m not going to answer anything, because to answer I would have to know. What would my reaction be to knowing and answering? Because it is difficult, on both sides it is difficult, ”says José Matias Cupertino.

José Matias lives in Apucarana, Paraná, 77 km from Jataizinho, from where Paulo got a false identification. As far as we know, José Matias Cupertino was the only one who had contact with the suspect.
On June 9, 2019, Paulo Cupertino murdered point-blank, with 13 shots, her daughter’s boyfriend, actor Rafael Henrique Miguel, and her parents, Miriam Selma Miguel and João Alcisio Miguel.
Childhood
Brother 17 years older than Paulo, José Marias says that the youngest was always a nervous person. “I saw a lot of revolt in Paulo,” says José, who according to him had a “brave, brave, indignant” personality that he easily exploited. “For him, a drop was a storm,” he says. The police have tried unsuccessfully to capture Paulo Cupertino for a year and four months. ”Since the date of the events, it has been causing problems. He ran away, looked for friends, went to Sorocaba, then to a city in the countryside, to Campinas. He went to Ponta Porã ”, details the promoter Soraia Bicudo.
Birth certificate
Investigative reporter Leandro Santana, from Spectacular Sunday, has passed through several cities following leads, and has discovered a series of documents and false addresses linked to the fugitive.
It all started with a birth certificate in the name of Manoel Machado da Silva, a man born on November 6, 1970 in Rio Brilhante, in Mato Grosso do Sul. This is what appears in the second copy of the document. However, the first route never existed.
Rio Brilhante is a quiet city of 37,000 inhabitants, with a single registry office. There, the certificate was forged in Manoel’s name. Not only is the document false, it blatantly uses the name of the city’s prison director. The certificate helped Paulo Cupertino to make a fake CPF.
New ID
With a new appearance, Cupertino traveled to Paraná, bound for Jataizinho. There, he searched for the ID institute and accomplished an even more shocking feat: He provided a real photo, in which he appears with a white beard, used his own fingerprints, and left with his new ID, revealed by Record TV.
Reporter Thaís Furlan spoke with the municipal official who attended Cupertino: “In fact, he should have gone there, I collected his information, his certificate, his CPF, the photo. I took his fingerprints, scanned them and sent them Now, I know here that the certificate is false ”, says the employee, who had his identity protected.

Proof of address
The last test to confirm the falsity of the data was the residency test provided by Paulo Cupertino. He said that he lived in another city in Paraná: Ibiporã. That is, the address does not match.

Cupertino has no history of passing through the city. “Investigations have started now. I can’t say for sure he was here. because that documentation may have been delivered and we are investigating exactly that ”, says the Ibiporã delegate.
The police are now investigating whether he received help from someone to cross the region without leaving a trace. The only contact of the accused in Paraná, as far as we know, is precisely his brother, José Matias Cupertino, who coordinates a rehabilitation center for drug addicts in Apucarana, where he lives.

In the SUS file there is an address for Ponta Porã. One more lie. Cupertino would be living in a car wash. A witness denies it. “We already went there to wash the car. I realized that there are four people and none of them is Paulo Cupertino ”.

Another curiosity that is discovered when having access to the SUS file is that Paulo Cupertino -or Manoel Machado da Silva- provided a telephone number that belongs to a dispatcher in the city of Ponta Porã. In fact, two addresses that were linked to Cupertino’s fake name, which we discovered in the basement, are only a few feet from a dispatcher.
However, an office official reported that they only work with vehicle documentation and denied knowing Manoel Machado da Silva or Paulo Cupertino.
Prison denied
This week, the police even announced his arrest in Centenário do Sul, 100 kilometers from Jataizinho, where he took his identification. But it was a false alarm. A misunderstanding between the São Paulo and Paraná police.
Isabela, daughter of Cupertino, unveiled on social networks. He said that it is too difficult to deal with all this and still receive this whirlwind of information.

The property where the murder occurred is a sad scene. One of Paulo Cupertino’s families lived in the narrow and small house.
