The government of São Paulo announced today the release of the return to face-to-face classes in the state educational system as of November 3. Secondary and COME (Education for youth and adults) will continue to be published from October 7 and membership will depend on the permission of the city councils and the presentation of a recovery plan by the unit.
The announcement was made by Governor João Doria (PSDB) at a press conference at the Palácio dos Bandeirantes. Doria confirmed that the forecast for the return of high school and EJA will remain for October 7, when the entire state has already completed 28 days in the yellow phase of the São Paulo Resumption Plan, as forecast since August.
“Obviously, we will respect the autonomy of mayors to authorize the opening [das escolas] in their cities, ”explained Doria.
Schools that want to join both in October and November, and have the authorization of the respective municipalities, must present an adaptation plan to the state government.
“The school will have to present a plan to the secretary. If it does not have the guaranteed conditions, it will not have the authorization [para retomar]”, Said Secretary Rossieli Soares, of Education.
