The government of the State of São Paulo warned the population not to access false pre-registration platforms for vaccination against covid-19. The address of João Doria (PSDB) highlights that the official website is Vacina Já (https://vacinaja.sp.gov.br/). “Vacina already has the government domain (.gov.br). There is no way to disappoint this. It is a real website. We have been dealing with fake news since the beginning of the pandemic, so we must be vigilant, ”explains Eduardo Pugnali, São Paulo’s executive secretary of communication.

According to him, the government has a multidisciplinary team to deal with the fake news circulating on social networks. “We research, evaluate the content and, if necessary, publish it on our communication channels,” he says.

“We even involve scientific staff a few times, as a lot of fake news is well written,” he says. The group currently has about 15 people to monitor social networks and investigate the complaints received.

The government of the State of São Paulo launched Vaccine on Sunday 17 to speed up the immunization process against covid-19. On the platform, users can pre-register before receiving the vaccine. In less than 24 hours, nearly 500,000 people completed the form.

The registry will not be used as a prior appointment, but should facilitate care at the vaccination sites and aims to avoid crowds. “Pre-registration through the website can speed up the process. When you arrive to receive the vaccine, you must register and complete a health questionnaire. Whoever chooses the online form will only have to respond personally to the questionnaire, ”says Pugnali. “You can even register in the queue, while waiting your turn,” he says.

According to Regiane de Paula, coordinator of infectious disease control at the Department of Health, “it is very important that the population is attentive” to the government website. He notes that the registry does not provide guarantees and should focus on the current priority groups of the campaign: health professionals and indigenous people.
