Despite denying that he helped kill cartoonist Marco Antônio Rosa Borges, 54, João Victor Silvestre de Azevedo Leite, 21, confessed to helping to dismember, burn and hide the victim’s body over the weekend. He is the son of the 44-year-old masseuse Clarice Silvestre de Azevedo, who yesterday morning (24) appeared to the police confessing the crime.

The report found that, along with his brother, João Victor was transferred to the Imol (Medical and Legal Institute), this Wednesday morning (25), to carry out criminal body examinations. However, because there was no flagrante delicto, the boy was released after giving testimony.

Still, as found by Campo Grande News, the young man, who already had a homicide in 2015, said that on Saturday his mother contacted him for help with a broken pipe. At first, the boy refused to go to his mother’s house at that time, but at the insistence of the woman, he ended up arriving at the place late in the afternoon.

At that moment, as revealed by the young man, Marco was already lifeless. It was there that he would help the mother to dismember the body. At dawn on Sunday (22), the mother and son called an acquaintance, who would be the driver of the application, to take the body to the place where the remains were found, in an abandoned house in Jardim Corcovado. There, the body was burned.

Another son of the masseur was also heard, but he denied having had any participation or even knowing about the crime. As for the mother’s relationship, both said they knew that the masseuse was involved with someone, but did not question who the person was.

Clarice’s cell phone and two children were confiscated. Arrested, the masseur, who must testify this afternoon, is in a cell of the 2nd Civil Police Station of the Capital.
