The candidate Solange Freitas (PSDB) suffered an attack on Monteiro Lobato Avenue, in São Vicente, around 10:30 am on Wednesday (11).
According to preliminary information, the author of the shots was a man who was driving a motorcycle and fired about five shots at the candidate’s car. Because the vehicle was armored, the people inside the vehicle were not affected. The motorist managed to escape.

The president of the PSDB in São Vicente, Higor Ferreira, revealed that the candidate for vice mayor, Gil dos Santos, and two advisers were with the candidate inside the car. According to him, Solange came out of a bakery, where she campaigned, and was following the channel when criminals, on motorcycles, fired at her car. The candidate and the team are, at this moment, giving testimony in the 1st PD of São Vicente.
In a note, the São Paulo PSDB stands in solidarity with the candidate for mayor of São Vicente Solange Freitas and her team, victims of a shooting on Wednesday morning. Also according to the party, Solange is hoping for better days in town and will undoubtedly stand firm for that purpose. The PSDB hopes that the police authorities will quickly clarify the case and punish the perpetrators in an exemplary manner.

Fire committee
On October 14, criminals invaded the candidate’s electoral committee. According to witnesses, the bandits set fire to the door of the committee and a plaque with the candidate’s name and photo, which was completely destroyed. They then entered the scene and stole all the electrical wiring. No one was arrested.

On Tuesday night (10), the candidate participated in the debate held by Grupo Tribuna with the other prefectures.
