The Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration of the Federal District (Seape) reported that 17 inmates fled the Papuda Penitentiary Complex in the early morning of this Wednesday (14). At 7:30 am, three inmates had been captured.
Around 2 am, the military and criminal police began searching for the inmates. According to the prison administration, they fled through the roof of the Provisional Detention Center (CDP), where they are detained who have not yet been sentenced and are awaiting trial.

“All the necessary measures are already being taken, both for the recapture of the fugitives, and for the investigation of the circumstances in which the escape occurred,” highlighted the secretary of the DF Prison Administration, the delegate Agnaldo Curado, through a note sent by Seape.

Whoever has information on the fugitives, You can call the security forces by calling: 190 (Military Police), 197 (Civil Police), via Whatsapp (61) 98626-1197, from the PCDF, or by calling (61) 3339-1345 (Penitentiary Directorate for Special Operations – Seape).
This is not the first time there has been a leak in Papuda this year. On January 28, three inmates fled the prison through a hole in one of the cells. According to the Ministry of Public Security (SSP), the trio left the prison in block 1 of the CDP.
Prisoners attempt massive escape in Papuda
On May 17, a group of prisoners, also from the CDP, tried to escape during the night. The detainees, who belong to a criminal organization, attempted to break the cell locks, however, they were immobilized by the criminal police.
