A fight between two military policemen ended in death, this Monday (26), in Betim, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. After meeting his ex-wife in a cable car, Sergeant Leonício Alves de Souza, 52, went to seek some satisfaction and was killed by his professional colleague.

According to the police report of the Military Police (PM), during the patrol the police team was informed that a soldier had shot another on Cedro Street, in the Alto das Flores neighborhood.

At the scene, the victim was found dead on the ground. Between the sergeant’s legs was a 380 pistol. According to his expertise, he had holes in his chest and head.

Also according to the police file, the 32-year-old corporal said that around 9:00 p.m. he received a call from Souza’s ex-partner. The 44-year-old woman asked him to drive her so that she could go to the Petrolândia neighborhood to find another vehicle. Then I would get a freezer.

The corporal accepted the meeting and, after dropping off a woman at the agreed location, would travel to the battalion to take the guard duty.

On the way, another car ran into the suspect’s Uno, which, thinking it was a robbery, sped up. In the vehicle was the sergeant, who passed the Uno and blocked the road.

The victim was said to have violently pulled the woman out of the cable car and began with various insults. Later, the sergeant stated that he would kill the former and the corporal, who fired first to defend himself. The sniper’s version was confirmed by the woman.

After firing the shots, he tried to help the sergeant and called the police. The death was confirmed by a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu).

The cable was arrested and the department of internal affairs of the corporation was called to follow the facts. The case was registered at the Betim police station.
