The new risk map for the cities of Espírito Santo was presented, on the afternoon of this Friday (20), by Governor Renato Casagrande. The new classification places Vitória, Cariacica and Viana in the moderate group of transmission of the new coronavirus.

During the speech, the governor also announced changes to some restrictive measures in moderate risk cities. The new rules and the risk map will come into effect next Monday (23).

While three cities in Gran Vitória migrate to the moderate risk group for the disease, another four are classified as low risk: Vila Velha, Serra, Guarapari and Fundão.

In these four cities, commerce continues to open without time restrictions. The same goes for bars and restaurants. However, in both cases, establishments must follow determinations, such as the mandatory use of a mask, the availability of alcohol gel for hand hygiene, and respect for the distance between customers.

Face-to-face classes are also offered in schools and universities in the cities of Vila Velha, Serra, Fundão and Guarapari. Thus, as the operation of gyms and social events, such as weddings and birthdays, with up to 300 guests. In the case of corporate events, there is no public limitation, as long as the standard of one participant for every 5m² is respected.

In the cities of Vitória, Viana and Cariacica, which left the risk low to moderate, some measures will be changed.

In these three cities, bars and restaurants must operate until 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. On Sunday, the opening is limited until 4 p.m., according to Casagrande.

On the other hand, the trade can continue to operate without limitations in these cities, as long as the sanitary regulations of distancing, use of a mask and supply of alcohol gel for hand hygiene are met.

The operation of gyms, shopping centers and social events did not change by the government this week either.

Corporate events, such as conferences and seminars, will have a limited audience. Starting on Monday, up to 300 guests will be allowed, provided the standard of one person per 5m² is respected.
