THE Facebook launched the “Avatar” this Monday (5), a new function that is already becoming a fever in the social network. In it, you can create a character like a cartoon of yours and make figurines. Avatar can still be used as a profile picture, comments, stories and even in Messenger conversations. For now, the new feature is only available for Android and iOS.

The Facebook Avatar was present even on Twitter, where some memes related to the late BuddyPoke of the late Orkut appeared. Even so, the novelty is becoming a fever among users of the social network.

The new functionality has several customization options, such as 27 skin tones and various hair styles and colors. Still, it is possible to add birthmarks, accessories, makeup, and clothing.

Once ready, Avatar can be used in ten different models of Facebook stickers, with the launch of another ten. In this way, Facebook fulfills its desire to allow its users to express themselves in a more personal and personalized way on the network.

How to make an avatar on Facebook

To access the new feature, open your Facebook application and access the menu on the right side. There, look for “Avatars”, which will be among the initial options or below, in “See more”.

When opening the tool, tap “Next” and start customizing by choosing your character’s skin tone.

From there, you will have access to all the customization options, all arranged in the top bar, separated by category (haircut, face shape, etc.). Within each category, you will have access to variations such as colors, brands, etc.

After assembling your character’s face, you will be able to shape the body and choose an option from the available looks on the hanger-shaped icon. A wide range of headwear is available: hats, caps and earrings.

When you finish your avatar, tap Finish in the upper right corner of the screen. When you’re ready, Facebook will tell you how Avatar can be used, as stickers. You can also share it on your News Feed if you want.

With Avatar ready, you can communicate on social network with custom stickers, use it as a profile photo, etc. To change it, just follow the same path as before.
