Operators Claro, TIM and Vivo released some details late in the afternoon on how Oi Móvel’s assets will be shared among them, which were auctioned today, 14, in a judicial auction.

According to documents published by the Securities and Exchange Commission, TIM takes most of the assets. It will have 40% of the client base, 49% of the base stations and 49 MHz of the 92 MHz of spectrum that Oi has. As it will be the company that will keep most of the assets, it will also pay more: R $ 7.3 billion, which is equivalent to 44% of the total purchase value (R $ 16.5 billion). In addition, it agrees to use Oi’s transmission services in the amount of R $ 476 million.

Vivo, in turn, will have the remaining 43 MHz, with 29% of Oi Móvel’s customer base and 2,700 base stations. For these assets, it will pay 33% of the proposed amount, which is equivalent to R $ 5.5 billion. It will also have a commitment of R $ 179 million in Oi services.

Claro, which concentrated most of the national spectrum, will not receive frequencies from Oi Móvel. It will inherit 32% of the customer base and 4,200 sites (32% of the total). It will disburse R $ 3.7 billion, equivalent to 22% of the auction value. In addition to assuming the commitment to use Oi’s wholesale network worth R $ 164 million.

Both TIM and Telefónica Brasil affirm that they will finance the purchase with their own funds and will issue debt in the domestic market. Claro did not comment on its financing strategy. Everyone remembers that the closing of the deal still depends on the guarantees of Cade and Anatel.
