The Santa Catarina businessman Emerson dos Santos, 29, disappeared since November 13 after leaving work to negotiate a BMW valued at 200 thousand reais, was found dead last night in a ditch on the banks of the BR-470, in Ilhota. The city is 28 km from Navegantes, where the victim’s cell phone marked the last location.
According to the Military Police, the shooting took place around 7:00 p.m., in the Baú Baixo neighborhood. The victim’s body was in an advanced state of decomposition, which prevented the military from raising suspicions about the cause of death. The Civil Police treats the case confidentially so as not to obstruct the investigation of any suspect.
Emerson was one of the owners of a construction company in Balneário Camboriú. His partner, Cleverson Marcos, reported that the victim’s father recognized the body early today, at the General Institute of Legal Medicine in the city of Blumenau.
“His father went at dawn to recognize the body and confirmed it by the clothes,” confirmed the partner, still very excited.
There is still no information about the place and time of the funeral and burial, but it is expected to take place throughout the afternoon in Navegantes.
Disappearance
Emerson left Balneario Camboriú on November 13 and drove some 19 miles to Navegantes to negotiate his BMW and did not return home or contact family or friends.
He wanted to negotiate BMW itself, model X1, valued at R $ 200 thousand, for an X5 model, with an estimated value of R $ 500 thousand.
According to the partner, the businessman arrived at the designated place in Navegantes accompanied by a friend and the transaction was not concluded with the owner of the other car.
The person who came with Emerson, then, would have bought the BMW from the businessman and would have resold it to the alleged owner who intended to exchange the vehicle, which, in turn, passed it on to a third party involved. All of this happened the morning of the disappearance.
“The person who tried to negotiate said that Emerson did not want to take the X5 and ended up selling it to his friend on the same Friday. He is a person with whom we have no contact. We know that this friend would have already resold what he would have with the X1.” , who passed it on to someone else, ”confirmed Cleverson Marcos.
Family and friends do not know if the transactions are made official through documents or simply written.
The partner says that the last visualization of the businessman on WhatsApp marks 11:35 am on November 13, with the GPS location in front of a department store in Navegantes.
On November 14, the Civil Police found the BMW X1 in a garage in the Meia Praia de Navegantes neighborhood. On it, according to friends, there were traces of blood. The car is inspected. No personal or professional belongings of Emerson were found in the vehicle.
