Some São Paulo media reported on Friday (18) that Corinthians began negotiations with Atlético to try to sign midfielder Cazares.
With a contract until the end of the season, the Ecuadorian midfielder is out of Jorge Sampaoli’s plans and Galo welcomes a negotiation in this final section of the relationship, either to get some financial compensation or even a change in the payroll.
Information about the deals between the two teams was initially published on the Meu Timão website and was replicated by other reporters covering the São Paulo team.
HE Today in DiAtlético and the player’s representatives were sought, but so far no confirmation on the deals has been obtained.
If the negotiation is sacramented, the midfielder will follow in the footsteps of Rómulo Otero, who coincided with the São Paulo team last month, after not getting space with Sampaoli.
Hired in 2016 by Galo, Cazares played 205 games, scored 41 goals for Alvinegro and won the Minas Gerais Championship titles in 2017 and 2020.
Constantly embroiled in controversy off the court, the Ecuadorian barely played a role this year. In 2020, the midfielder was on the field only in the classic against Cruzeiro, won by Atlético 2-1, on March 7, for the Mineiro Championship.
