Santos is very close to accepting the sale of one of his main players in the squad: Lucas Veríssimo.
According to the report of the Interactive sport, Peixe received an offer of 6 million euros (almost R $ 40 million, at current prices), from Benfica, Portugal, and, in great financial difficulties, he is inclined to accept.
Benfica’s proposal is greater than that made by the also Portuguese Sporting Braga, last Friday (2), which reached 5 million euros (R $ 33 million).
It is worth remembering that Peixe cannot register players due to a debt to Hamburg, Germany. The club still runs the risk of losing points in the Brazilian Championship, if the debt is not paid soon. There is still a pending issue with Huachipato, from Chile, who could make Alvinegro Praiano without signing players for the next three transfer windows.
Revealed by Santos himself, in 2016, Veríssimo has become one of the fans’ favorite athletes over the years. In total, he completed 169 games in the white jersey, scoring seven goals.
