Santos confirms the hiring of Laércio, but discards José Welison | Saints

After announcing the agreement with Hamburg, Germany, and being released by FIFA to register new signings, Santos begins to move to regularize the situation of players who already had an agreement with the club. This is the case of defender Laércio, runner-up in the state of Rio Grande do Sul with Caxias, who had been training in Peixe for about a month and was waiting to be registered.

At a virtual press conference this Friday, the acting president, Orlando Rollo, confirmed the hiring of the defender, but ruled out the arrival of José Welison, who had been negotiated by José Carlos Peres.

The midfielder would become involved in the exchange with Atlético-MG by hiring goalkeeper Éverson, who already plays for the Minas Gerais club, and simply had not left Galo because he was waiting for Santos’ debt to be settled.

– Laércio has a contract with the club, today he is registered. With reference to the other athlete (José Welison), it is a mere survey carried out by the football department at the direction of Peres. He doesn’t have a contract, he usually goes to his club – said Rollo.

Last week, Cuca made it clear that he has the arrival of new players. Rollo, however, said that he had already spoken with the coach and explained the lack of conditions to bring in new reinforcements, including striker Robinho, who had started talks with the club.

– Cuca deserves reinforcements, he is a great club coach. The great coach of the club asks for it and he deserves it, but the moment is austerity. We can’t do crazy things. We are in a transitional management to solve the debts and that the next president, in January, can manage in a balanced way – he said.

– I spoke with him, but Santos has no way of signing. I can’t fool the fan. I can’t sign players, bring idol Robinho. Wanted, you are my idol. But how am I going to pay? Santos is on the edge of the precipice – said the acting president.

Although Alvinegro has resolved the dispute with Hamburg, two more actions are imminent, this time related to the debts with Huachipato, of Chile, and Atlético Nacional, of Colombia, for the non-payment of striker Soteldo and defender Felipe Aguilar. respectively.

The blockade due to the debt with the Chilean team, however, only comes into effect from the next transfer window, in this case, Peixe has more time to resolve.
