The city of Santa María confirmed, on Thursday night, more four deaths associated with coronavirus. With these cases, the total number of deaths reaches 136 in the city. Only in the last seven days have they been confirmed 21 deaths.
The first case is that of an 84-year-old woman with a history of chronic cardiovascular disease, chronic neurological disease, and immunosuppression. On November 27, he was admitted to the Caridade Astrogildo de Azevedo Hospital. On the same day, he was diagnosed positive for Covid-19. The death occurred on Thursday.

There was also another death at the Caridade Astrogildo de Azevedo Hospital. A 79-year-old man with a history of chronic cardiovascular disease, chronic neurological disease and diabetes died on December 14. The day before, he was admitted to the hospital and had a positive diagnosis for Covid-19 by CT scan.
The third case is that of a 55-year-old man with a history of diabetes. On November 9, he was admitted to the ICU of the Hospital Universitário de Santa Maria (Husm), transferred from the UPA. On the same day, he was diagnosed positive for Covid-19. The patient was not admitted to the ICU, but used invasive ventilatory support. The death occurred on Thursday.
Finally, the fourth death is in another 55-year-old man, who had a history of chronic liver disease, immunodeficiency, and chronic lung disease. On November 10, the patient was admitted to the Hospital de Caridade São Vicente de Paulo, in Cruz Alta. On December 5, he was diagnosed positive for Covid-19. The death occurred on December 15.
