With the Galaxy Note 20 series already revealed, Samsung is now working on its next family of flagships to usher in next year, and new details on two of the three models in the Galaxy S21 line have just been revealed.
In registration with the 3C, the Galaxy S21 (SM-G991) and the Galaxy S21 Plus (SM-G996) had their batteries certified confirming that the pair will present changes in relation to the models of the Galaxy S20 line.
While the simplest model in Samsung’s new generation of flagships is shown with an effective capacity of 3,880 mAh (possible nominal capacity of 4,000 mAh), the middle model of the 2021 trio appears with a 4,660 mAh battery.
It is possible to see from the pictures that the battery manufacturer is not Samsung, but Ningde Amperex Technology, a Chinese battery manufacturer.
Codenamed “Unbound” for the entire Galaxy S21 series, Samsung’s new smartphones are expected to hit the market in the first quarter of next year with major improvements over the 2020 generation. Rumors already indicate that the S21 Ultra, the most powerful model of the trio, can offer an integrated S Pen.
While we’re all waiting for Samsung to continue the nomenclature, there is no guarantee that new smartphones will adopt the Galaxy S21 brand or jump straight to the Galaxy S30, but new details are expected to emerge soon.
