The transfer of Bruno Henrique to Al-Ittihad, in Saudi Arabia, will serve as a stimulus for Palmeiras, which in 2020 foresees R $ 200 million less in income due to the new coronavirus pandemic. The approximately R $ 27 million will be used to reduce part of the club’s debt with sponsor Crefisa.

This address is part of the agreement for the purchase of Bruno Henrique. In 2017, the sponsor paid the amount of R $ 13 million to Palermo, from Italy. What is required in the contract amendment says that Palmeiras must return 100% of the sponsor’s expense on the purchase, plus interest accrued since that time.

In total, Palmeiras closed 2019 owing R $ 172 million to Crefisa. However, the sales of Bruno Henrique and, mainly, Dudu (still on loan), are part of the debt with the company of the couple of directors Leila Pereira and José Roberto Lamacchia.

In the specific case of Bruno Henrique, Palmeiras will continue to benefit from the operation. Of the R $ 27 million received for the departure of the steering wheel for the Saudi Arabian team, Crefisa will have just over R $ 13 million, due to the interest calculated based on CDI (Interbank Certificates of Deposit).

The positive numbers in the financial field also extend to the payroll. Bruno Henrique, owner of a contract until 2023, had one of the highest salaries of the squad, since he was valued in 2019 in the face of a Chinese football proposal that almost took him out of the Football Academy.

When he renewed his commitment to Palmeiras, Bruno Henrique was a key part of the cast. In 2018, the midfielder was captain and played an important role in winning the Serie A title of the Brazilian Championship.

However, after the trophy, the midfielder lived under enormous pressure from the fans, even suffering personally. The player ended up being the target of criticism after a year without titles for the alviverde team.

Last season, Bruno Henrique was accused by a follower on the street, while walking with the dog and his wife, and the 2019 Brazilian hit his wife in a match.

Bruno Henrique said goodbye to Palmeiras with 175 games played and 28 goals with the alviverde team shirt. The steering wheel, even, has already been announced as a new reinforcement for the Arab club.
