Politicians and celebrities mourned the death of Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the longest serving justice on the United States Supreme Court and leader of the liberal wing. Ginsburg died on Friday (18), at the age of 87, from complications of pancreatic cancer.
Ginsburg was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, but it was not the first time she underwent serious treatments. In 1999, she was treated for colon cancer and also faced pancreatic cancer in 2009. In December 2018, she also received treatment for lung cancer.
In 2018, the judge was honored with the film ‘Suprema’, a feature film with Felicity Jones in the lead role that accompanies Ginsburg’s story during her youth and her attempted career as a lawyer in the 1960s and 1970s.
