The week was for Gre-Nal’s work at their respective training centers in Porto Alegre after being released by the city government. But the new decree of the Government of Rio Grande do Sul, which should be published this Sunday and will take effect from Monday, prohibits the opening of sports clubs.
In the new model, the state is subdivided into 20 regions. Each is identified by a flag color that determines measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Porto Alegre is in the orange area, which means “medium risk” on the scale created.

At this level, the opening of sports clubs is not allowed. When GloboEsporte.com asked him about the subject in the interview, Governor Eduardo Leite was clear and said that the clubs cannot train as of Monday.
– Strictly speaking, with the new decree, training should be restricted. The decree refers to the operation of the sports club and the operation will be prohibited under these conditions. In the orange flag, the determination is to suspend activities in sports clubs. Just being able to run under the yellow flag, which should result in suspension of training activities at sports clubs, Governor Eduardo Leite said at a remote news conference.
Grêmio president Romildo Bolzan Júnior, in contact with GloboEsporte.com, stated that he needs more information about the state decree, but will follow the orders of the health authorities. The inter-president, Marcelo Medeiros, did not respond to the contact made until the closing of the report.

Football would only be allowed in areas marked with yellow, which means “low risk.” Only six out of 20 regions are at this level. The return of the Gaucho Championship, after meeting Leite with the president of the Gaucho Football Federation last week, was ruled out in May. In the governor’s opinion, the return to competition is complicated by regionalization.
– On the yellow flag, sports clubs can work. This decision to have it or not is of the Federation in the protocols established here. It seems difficult because we could not guarantee uniformity in the state and concentrating the championship in one region would generate a cost and a difficulty for the operation, but it is a decision of the FGF itself, added Leite.
