Many clouds persist over Rio Grande do Sul and it is still raining in the state, but not in all regions this Monday. The instability affects more parts of the Center, the Middle North and the East of Rio Grande do Sul with periods of rain and drizzle.
Isolated spots in the northern half can experience transient heavy rains, thunderstorms, and occasional hail. The greatest accumulations of rain occur in the Serra and in part of the North Coast.
In the West, in the South and in points of the Northwest and North of Rio Grande do Sul there are sun openings with clouds. The temperature will vary little with larger brands in the north of Rio Grande do Sul and colder ones in the south.
The minimums are around 9ºC in Santana do Livramento and 10ºC in São José dos Ausentes. The maximums, in turn, can reach 19ºC in Erechim and 20ºC in Uruguaiana. In Porto Alegre, the thermometers vary between 14ºC and 17º.
More than 30 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul suffered hail during the weekend. The phenomenon was recorded both on Saturday and Sunday, and in some cities for two days, such as in cities of Greater Porto Alegre. The areas most affected by hail were the valleys, the metropolitan region and the north coast.
The worst hail storms occurred in the early hours of Sunday, when the warmer airflow in the Mid North provided energy for the formation of charged cumulunumbus clouds in the central strip of the state. The municipalities of Canoas, Gravataí and Cachoeirinha were the most affected by the storm.
