The coach was seen shouting at the wheel Felipe after a load wasted in the defeat against Fluminense
Fortaleza received Fluminense last Saturday (31) for Brasileirão’s 19th matchday and, despite the 1-0 defeat, the match was marked by the reaction of coach Rogério Ceni to a foul badly charged by one of his teammates.

The play occurred at 5:30 in the second half, when Fortaleza had a dangerous frontal foul to beat, with the game still tied 0-0. After Carlinhos passed the ball, midfielder Felipe kicked the wall hard, much to the despair of the former goalkeeper, famous for his precision on dead balls.
In a camera cut, the coach could be seen rebelling over the player’s mistake. As he frantically waved his hands, Ceni could be heard cursing Felipe at the top of his lungs, in audio captured by the Castelão Arena’s microphones.
Ceni’s reaction went viral on social networks, with numerous publications highlighting the furious screams of the coach and others highlighting the quality of the goalkeeper’s goal while passing through São Paulo.

In the press conference after the defeat, Rogério harshly criticized the performance of referee Marielson Alves Silva, even accusing the Bahian of having “spoiled the game.” The complaints refer to the expulsion of defender Roger Carvalho, who in the coach’s eyes was exaggerated.
Fifteen minutes after the play, Wellington Silva would score the only goal of the match, guaranteeing the victory of Fluminense and placing the Rio club in the direct qualifying zone of the Libertadores. With the defeat at home, Fortaleza de Ceni ends a sequence of eight games without losing at Brasileirão, and occupies eighth position in the table.
Rogério Ceni, the greatest goalkeeper-scorer in football history, has accumulated an impressive 131 goals in his career, including 61 from free kicks, 69 from penalties and one with the ball in play. Ceni is still the holder of the record for matches with the São Paulo jersey (1237), having performed more than twice as many times as the runner-up, fellow goalkeeper Waldir Peres.
Fortaleza’s next match is the duel against Atlético Paranaense, next Saturday (7). On November 14, Ceni returns to face São Paulo, this time for the Brazilian Championship.
