The PRF (Federal Highway Police) arrested five suspects of being involved in the bank robbery that caused the terror in Criciúma (SC) at dawn yesterday morning. The arrests occurred on the BR-101, in the city of Passo de Torres (SC), close to the border with Rio Grande do Sul, and also in Porto Alegre.

The Araranguá PRF unit told the Twitter that in Passo de Torres three suspects were arrested and with them about R $ 30 thousand. They were sent to the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the Araranguá Civil Police, where the event is being finalized, the city is located about 40 km from Passo de Torres.

According to Inspector Luiz Graziano, head of Social Communication of the PRF of Santa Catarina, two more suspects were arrested in Porto Alegre. “Strong suspicions of being involved in the assault on Criciúma,” Graziano said.

Woman arrested in Sao Paulo

A woman was arrested in the city of São Paulo also on suspicion of being involved in the assault. She was arrested in the act yesterday afternoon in the Grajaú neighborhood, in the South Zone, after a complaint. In his house and in his car there were rifle ammunition, pistol magazines and explosive devices, as well as drugs, according to the Civil Police.

Still according to the police, Vanessa de Faria Santos, 31, is the partner of a suspect in the robbery in Santa Catarina. She was detained at the 25th DP (Police District), in Parelheiros, and sent to the 89th DP, in Morumbi. Vanessa told police that she lives with her partner, with whom she has a stable relationship, but did not explain the origin of the seized material.

The woman was charged with illegal possession of a restricted use firearm and drug trafficking. Six cocaine tablets were found in his home.
