Gelson Wagner Vossa Vaz has been admitted to the Marechal Hermes Emergency Care Unit (UPA) since Sunday (19) and must be transferred. The patient’s brother asked for help.
“My brother has already been intubated. His condition is very serious. You need an urgent transfer. He needs. If anyone can help, for God’s sake. At UPA, he has no way to stay. He has been there for four days, ”asked Gelson’s brother, Roberto Carlos.

On Thursday afternoon (23), there was only one vacancy in the ICU at the Ronaldo Gazolla Hospital, a reference unit of the municipal network.
Both the city and the state have the opening of vacancies in field hospitals, which should start operating in the coming days. The first is Leblon, in the South Zone, which will open with 200 beds, 100 of which will be in the ICU. The unit is financed by the private sector, but will attend to patients of the Unified Health System (SUS).
In addition to the Leblon unit, the secretary of state will provide another 1,800 beds in eight field hospitals and a modular one, which will open in May in various parts of RJ.
