O National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued a alert “Great danger” for 34 cities in the Tringulo Mineiro due to the high temperatures registered in the region. Health risks can range from dehydration to hypothermia, which can pose a risk of death.

The alert was issued because the region is registering temperatures 5 ° C above the historical average for a period greater than five days. The relative humidity indices in the municipalities of Tringulo reached 7% on some of those days.

Temperatures in the Triangle are already exceeding 40 ° C some days ago.

In Campina Verde, a city of just under 20,000 inhabitants in Pontal, the maximum forecast for this Tuesday (6) is 43 ° C, with humidity levels possibly lower than 10%. In Uberlndia, the maximum expected today is 39 ° C. In Uberaba, 41 ° C and in Ituiutaba, 40 ° C.
