Relatives search and PRF discovers three more dead in accident in BR-381

The Federal Highway Police reported that the death toll in the accident that occurred this Friday (18), on BR-381, near Nova Unio, in fact four people – three adults and a baby of approximately nine months. The information about the victims was transmitted by the PRF spokesman, Aristides Junior. So far, it is not known whether the bodies were male or female.

Initially, the PRF had reported that only one person had died in the accident, in a car that was charred under a car. However, based on calls from relatives to the PRF in search of information about a vehicle with four people, a Fiat Uno, which had disappeared, the PRF crossed data on the car’s engine number and discovered that it was the crashed car.

The accident

The collision involved a car and nine passenger cars on BR-381 this Friday morning. The accident occurred in Nova Unio, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, near the Bom Jesus do Amparo interchange.

According to the Minas Gerais Military Fire Brigade (CBMG), the semi-trailer, which was loaded with watermelons, caught fire when it hit vehicles. In shock, two of them were pressured.

The car’s passengers were caught in the hardware and charred. Another nine victims were rescued in serious condition, one of whom suffered cardiorespiratory arrest.

The event mobilized two archangel helicopters, five fire trucks, two fire trucks, as well as ten agents from the Military Police and Civil Police. BR-381 was closed in the direction of Vitria, near the municipality of Nova Unio, but traffic has already been released.
