Diego had been going through a transition process in the field, working apart from the group to recover 100%. He had not played since August 30, in the victory over Santos, for the Brazilian Championship. There is still no definition of whether it will be related to the game against Goiás.

The return of Diego Alves meets the projection made by the head of the Flamengo medical department, Marcio Tannure. In an interview last week, he explained the goalkeeper’s recovery process and said he believed the player would be reinstated to the team this week.
