During the afternoon of this Monday (12/7), the daughter of the owners of Localima Tourism, the company that owns the bus that fell from a bridge on BR-381, in Joo Monlevade, on Friday (12/4), testified at the city’s Regional Police Station. She did not speak to the press, but her husband, Flaviano Carvalho, stated that he believes in “Imprudnce” of the collective driver at the time of the accident.
Flaviano was not officially heard by the Civil Police. He simply accompanied his wife, who fell ill during the deposition. At the time of his intervention, he presented documents that show that the bus involved in the accident was leased. About the driver, Flaviano Carvalho said that Luiz Viana of Lima He was hired on a “temporary” basis by Localima. Inside the bus, there was a second driver. At the time of the accident, he was sleeping in the back seats and died in the fall of the vehicle. The company representative says he believes in Viana’s “recklessness”.

On Friday, the National Agency for Land Transport (Antti) stated that the vehicle was not authorized to carry passengers. “The company is registered with the ANTT and has an Authorization Period for the provision of the regular service granted by the Justice, through a judicial order. However, the vehicle in question was not qualified to provide passenger transport service, ”the agency said.
