Hired by Botafogo last week, coach Ramón Díaz must leave before starting work at the club. The Argentine will be presented this Tuesday and will then leave Brazil to undergo a surgical procedure. The club was briefed on Monday and is expected to stay away for at least ten days.

Ramón Díaz received the news earlier this week, and the indication was that he needed to have surgery as soon as possible. The procedure is considered simple and will be performed outside of Brazil by a trusted doctor of the technician.

The commander placed in the hands of Botafogo the decision to keep him in office or not. With an apartment already rented in Rio de Janeiro, Díaz reinforced his desire to sign the contract. In the period of absence, the team will go to his technical commission, headed by his son and assistant Emiliano Díaz.

The coach must make his debut on the edge of the field against Fortaleza, on November 22, for the 22nd match of Brasileirão. The game will be at 6.15pm in Nilton Santos.

Ramón Díaz arrived in Rio de Janeiro last Sunday and presented himself to Botafogo with five professionals: the assistants Emiliano Díaz and Osmar Ferreyra, the analysts Damian Paz and Juan Romanazzi and the physical trainer Jorge Pidal.

The negotiation with Díaz was not long. The Argentine turned the ball over after frustrated agreements with Venezuelan César Farías, who was not released by the Bolivian national team. Díaz, for his part, has been without a club since leaving Libertad de Paraguay in September. He will be Botafogo’s fourth coach this season.
